Great Cave Offensive Treasure References

Many of the treasures in the Kirby Super Star/ Kirby Super Star Ultra game The Great Cave Offensive are refrences to other Nintendo games. Below is a table listing those treasures and the related refrence. As many treasures were changed to objects from other games in Kirby Super Star Ultra, the list is from that game.

Whip

A whip that strongly resembles the infamous Vampire Killer from the NES game Castlevania.

Screw Attack

The Screw Attack upgrade from the Metroid series. It was incorrectly labeled as Screw Ball in Kirby Super Star.

Phanto Mask

A Phanto is an enemy from Super Mario Bros. 2. This treasure was called the Zebra Mask in Kirby Super Star because it looks like a zebra's nose.

Bandana

What appears to be the bandana worn by Fighter Kirby.

Machine Parts

The wings of the Legendary Air Ride Machine, Hydra, from Kirby Air Ride.

Bucket

The bucket from the Super Famicom game, Mario and Wario.

Power Paintbrush

The magic paintbrush used by Drawcia, primary antagonist and final boss of Kirby: Canvas Curse.

Falcon Helment

The helmet worn by Captain Falcon, the main playable character in the F-Zero series.

Cell Phone

The cell phone Kirby uses to call the other Kirbys in Kirby and the Amazing Mirror.

Koopa Shell

A green koopa shell from the Mario series.

Falchion

The Falchion, a magic sword used in the Fire Emblem series. In Kirby Super Star it was mistakenly called sword.

Three-Star Cane

The weapon (known as the Triple Star) wielded by Daroach/Dark Daroach, the 6th and 8th bosses and secondary antagonist of Kirby Squeak Squad. Upon defeating Dark Daroach, Kirby can then use the weapon to defeat the final boss, Dark Nebula.

Mr. Saturn

A member of the friendly alien species, all of whom are known as Mr. Saturn, seen in the Mother series (called Earthbound in America).

Gold Watering Can

A hidden item in the Animal Crossing series.

Kong's Barrel

A DK barrel from the Donkey Kong Country series. In Kirby Super Star, it's an ordinary wooden barrel from the same series.

Pegasus Wing

One of the three sacred Treasures from the NES game, Kid Icarus.

Triforce

The legendary artifact, the triforce, from the Legend of Zelda series.
